Making A Purchase Making a purchase couldn't be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and place them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the transaction.

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. However, should any item be back ordered you will be advised immediately. Our website uses SSL encryption to ensure your personal details including credit/debit card numbers are totally secure, however if you prefer you may send your card information separately by phone or fax. A small percentage of our orders may require additional credit checking information to prevent card fraud, should this be the case we will contact you via the contact number or e-mail address you have provided.

In order for us to price match another website, the website must meet certain criteria and the product must be the same for us to match the price or offer any discount. The company we are matching must be a UK based company and using a UK postal or courier service. We do not match any eBay or Amazon listings. The item must be in stock with the delivery charge inclusive of the price you have quoted us, the delivery time must be equal or better than ours.
Shipping And Handling Our orders are shipped via Initial City Link, a nationwide courier or The Royal Mail under their standard terms and conditions of carriage. Your goods will arrive with you between 8.30am and 5:30pm the next working day following despatch (unless you have specified otherwise). Please note: goods shipped on a Friday will be delivered on a Monday. Saturday deliveries and weekday collections can normally be arranged if required.
Orders placed after 5pm on a Friday will not be processed by us until the following Monday.
For orders shipped via the Royal Mail's economy service, we can only track parcels after 15 working days from being despatched by us.

Please note we only ship to UK addresses, all delivery addresses will be verified prior to despatch.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL DELIVERIES REQUIRE A SIGNATURE

In the event of an unsuccessful delivery attempt a card will be left at the specified delivery address with contact details for your local depot. Please follow the instructions provided to reschedule your delivery. Please note that only 2 deliveries will be attempted, after this time your order will be available for collection from your local depot for a further 5 days, if this is unsuccessful the goods will be automatically returned to us as part of the terms and conditions of carriage specified by our couriers. This return carriage is charged at £8.50 + vat (£9.78) and will be charged to your account before any re-delivery or refund is processed. Subsequent deliveries will be charged at our standard £5.99 +vat (£6.89)

Delivery Schedule Wherever possible we will ship orders received before 5pm on the day of ordering, however we cannot guarantee this. If your delivery is urgent we recomended you contact sales on freephone 0808 144 4020 for an exact delivery time. Please note our next working day delivery option refers to the day it is shipped which may not be the day it is ordered. We are unable to refund delivery charges if any items are delayed by strike action.
Back Orders In the unlikely event that an item you order is out of stock, we will notify you by email, giving you the option to cancel the order or wait for further stock.
Tax Charges All orders will be subject to VAT at 17.5%. A VAT invoice will be provided with your goods.
Credit Card Security For your protection all credit/debit card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. Please note we only ship to UK addresses and orders paid for by credit or debit card can only be shipped to the cardholder's address.
Guarantee Our standard warranty for most products is 1 year return to base. This means that in the unlikely event of a problem you will need to return the product to the address above. However, before doing so you must first request an RMA number from customers services on 0808 144 4020. Any goods returned to us without an RMA number may take longer to process. You the customer will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us and we, the supplier will be responsible for the cost of returning them to you.

A large number of our new laptops include an on-site warranty direct from the manufacturer. Details of these warranties can be found in the description of each individual product. It is your responsibility to complete any registration forms included with the goods or your warranty will revert to our standard 1 year return to base policy.

Some of our factory refurbished product carries a 3 month return to base warranty. Again, the exact details of these products can be found in the individual description.

Our range of refurbished laptops are covered by our 6 month return to base warranty. However, the batteries in them are considered to be consumable items and as such are only covered by a 3 month warranty. The batteries are guaranteed to function for a minimum of 30 minutes under standard test load. Please note, our new, replacement batteries available from the battery section our covered by a 1 year warranty.

Our warranty does not cover malfunction or failure caused by any of the following points.

Returns Policy We strive to provide the highest levels of customer service, however the Company cannot accept any returned goods if:
The goods have been physically damaged by the buyer.
The warranty label(s) is/are found to have been tampered with or missing.
The goods are found not to have been sold to the Customer by the Company.
The goods are outside the warranty limit.
The goods do not have a corresponding RMA (Returned Material Authority) number displayed clearly on the item(s) packaging.

An RMA number must be obtained before any item is sent back to the Company. To obtain an RMA number please contact our customer services department on 0808 144 4020 or by email at support@laptopsandspares.com.

The Buyer must inspect all goods on arrival as any damages must be reported within 24 hours of receipt and prior to any installation. If your goods appear damaged in any way, including packaging, they must be signed for as "damaged" on the delivery sheet with the courier. This covers you in the event of a claim for damage to the items
Upon return of goods found to be faulty we will:
Return a working replacement of equal or better specification to the customer within 14 days of Laptops and Spares receiving the goods. If, after 14 days, a replacement cannot be sent for whatever reason, a full refund will be given, if requested, at the current market value of the item. If this is not ascertainable, then a refund will be given for the value of the nearest equivalent item. .
Except as may be implied by law where the buyer is dealing as a consumer, in event of any breach of these Conditions by the Company the remedies of the buyer shall be limited to damages which shall in no circumstances exceed the price of the goods and the Company shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you may cancel your order up to 7 days after receipt of your goods. Should you wish to do so you must notify us in writing within the 7 day period. You will be responsible for the cost of returning all goods to Laptops and Spares at the address above and your carriage will not be refunded. The goods and packaging must be complete and exactly as new. If goods are not as new a minimum of 20% restocking fee will be charged depending on the condition of the goods. Please note that due to licencing laws some software packages may not be covered by this regulation. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.Data collected by this site is used to:

WEEE Recycling The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
  • Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.


  • Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

laptopsandspares.com offers its customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.


For example, if a customer purchases an AC Adapter from us we would accept their old AC Adapter and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Items can either be handed to us in person or sent to:
RET Recycling, 7 Woodford Centre, Lysander Way, Old Sarum, Salisbury. SP4 6BU.

If returning a laptop battery to us please ensure it is sent in the box your new battery arrived in. This is to ensure safe transit of the item. Never send a battery if it is cracked or damaged in any way which may cause it to leak or malfunction during transit. If your old battery is cracked or damaged in any way you should contact our sales department for advice on safely disposing of this item.
