Voltage is different for ac adapters and batteries.
For ac adapters, there is a 1v tolerance in relation to what you actually need. For instance, an ac adapter shown with a volts rating of 19v, will be suitable for use with a laptop requiring 18v, 18.5v, 19v, 19.5v or 20v, but not 17.5v or 20.5v.

For laptop batteries, it is recommended that you use the same voltage as what your laptop needs, anything higher than the rating on your existing battery can potentially harm your machine, however there are exceptions.
10.8v & 11.1v batteries are fine to interchange.
Some 11.1v batteries are interchangable with 14.8v batteries but this depends on the mAh or WHr rating on the battery also.

If in doubt, call us so we can check and be confident that we supply the correct battery. Do not take the risk of choosing a product which has different specifications to your existing battery where voltage is concerned as you may not only damage your laptop, but you may also void your warranty on your laptop and also void the warranty from us.

Our laptop ac adapters (laptop chargers) are listed with an amps (a) rating.

This means that the ac adapter will be suitable for use with a laptop requiring anything up to the amps rating.
For instance, a charger shown with an amps rating of 5a, will be suitable for use with a laptop requiring 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5a, but not 6a.

The laptop will only draw as many amps as it actually requires so as long as the adapter has equal or more amps than your laptop requires, it will work fine.

Laptop ac adapters (laptop chargers) are generally 30w, 65w, 75w, 90w or 120w.

The watts rating is simply the volts (v) multiplied by the amps (a), so a 15v 5a ac adapter would equal 75w.

If our adapter is listed withh a higher watts rating than your existing ac adapter, please check the specifications carefully.
